Dr. Susan Beck is a board-certified optometric physician who enjoys serving the residents of Sarasota. She grew up in Northern New Jersey and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Binghamton University in Binghamton, N.Y. She was awarded her Doctor of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry in Boston, finishing in the top 10% of her class.
During her Optometric studies, she was able to combine her love of travel with her desire to serve diverse patients, completing several rotations from Portland, OR to Jerusalem.
Dr. Beck relocated to Sarasota from Washington, D.C where she and her husband, Dr. Ken Beck, practiced optometry for 12 years. In addition to her several practices in the D.C. Metro area, Dr. Beck also founded 'Hope in Sight', a charity that provided exams and glasses for indigent families.
Interests: Since relocating to the Sunshine State, Dr. Beck has been able to enjoy spring training games, running, cooking, traveling, and spoiling her two nieces.
Along with her membership in professional associations, Dr. Beck is a Board Member of Prevent Blindness Florida and this year received its Chairman's Award.
