Dr. Susan LaGreca Beck

Dr. Susan LaGreca Beck

Dr. Susan LaGreca Beck is a board-certified optometric physician dedicated to serving the residents of Sarasota. Originally from Northern New Jersey, she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Binghamton University in Binghamton, N.Y. Dr. Beck achieved her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, graduating in the top 10% of her class. 

Throughout her Optometric studies, Dr. Beck combined her love of travel with a commitment to serving diverse patients, completing rotations from Portland, OR to Jerusalem.

Prior to relocating to Sarasota, Dr. Beck and her husband, Dr. Ken Beck, practiced optometry in Washington, D.C., for 12 years. In addition to several practices in the D.C. Metro area, Dr. Beck founded 'Hope in Sight,' a charity providing exams and glasses for indigent families.

Dr. Beck's interests include raising her two elementary school-aged children while embracing the Sunshine State's offerings, such as attending spring-training baseball games, engaging in outdoor activities, and exploring new destinations through travel.

Actively involved in professional associations, Dr. Susan Beck is the current Board of Trustee for the Florida Optometric Association and a past-president of the Manasota Optometric Association. She is also affiliated with the American Optometric Association and has served as a former Board Member of Prevent Blindness Florida.

So happy I found them!

This was my first visit to the office and I was thrilled with how thorough my exam was. Dr. Beck is very knowledgeable and took the extra time to explain everything. The entire staff were very friendly and caring. So happy I found them!
